Electronics Technician (Jr. to Tech I)

Education and/or Experience:

Entry-level position requires High School Diploma and/or Electronic Courses/ Preferred 5 yrs. experience in a similar field.

 

Reports to:

Manufacturing Supervisor

 

Required Skills

Good troubleshooting skills to the component level.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics
General knowledge of basic test equipment: VOMs, O’scopes, etc…
Soldering of general and fine pitch electronic components.
Mechanical assembly.
General PC experience. (MS Office, MIS systems).

 

Job Duties

Receives wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions, either verbally or in writing, concerning testing and repairing to be performed.
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principles, wiring specifications and application of electronic equipment.
Services and tests electronic equipment by checking, testing and replacing faulty components, circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.
Informs group leader or supervisor of potentially dangerous electrical equipment and corrective actions taken.

 

Possible Positions Available:

 

Jr. Tech:

Performs equipment setup for subassembly acceptance tests.
Pretest/Sample test non-complex, high-volume subassemblies. (Does not include repair)
Performs repetitive calibration procedures on assemblies

 

Tech I:

Performs Analog or Digital Audio or Video System Level testing.
Board level troubleshooting.
Light component level troubleshooting and repair.

Stores Clerk

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED. Basic math skills and 10-key experience.

 

REPORTS TO:

Stores Buyer

 

SUMMARY:

This position pulls external kits for Contract Mfg.’s in a timely manner according to the production schedule. Requires a basic familiarity of electronic components and understands proper handling & packaging. Has the ability to stand for long periods of time. Basic computer skills and data entry required. A willingness to cross-train and assist co-workers on an as needed basis. Must be able to communicate in English with others in a clear and concise manner through email, writing, & speech. Applicant must be able to safely lift 25 to 75 lbs. on a regular basis and be able to work vigorously when required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Previous order pulling experience or ability to learn quickly.

· Great attention to detail and accuracy.

· Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.

· Problem solving skills and ability to interact well with others.

· Ability to multi-task and operate in a high-volume OEM environment.

 

JOB DUTIES:

· Ability to take direction from the Stores Buyer and can work well without constant supervision.

· Pull kits, both external & internal.

· Keep Stores area organized and clean.

· Fills store requisitions as needed for Company employees and help Company employees in a Stores capacity.

· Fills work orders shortages with incoming product and properly labels and bags before putting into stock.

· Cycle count inventory according to cycle count schedule.

· When caught up on kits or on an as needed basis, assists the Shipping Dept.
