Position available Broadcast Technical Service Field Engineer, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree or equivalent experience (5+ yrs. experience in the Broadcast industry is a MUST). Individual should be self-driven, requiring little direct supervision. Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
SUMMARY: Most of your time will be spent fielding customer technical service calls, troubleshooting equipment, training customers, and commissioning systems at customer sites. Performing the duties below will execute this job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.)
- Customer technical service phone support on HD/SD-SDI video/audio routing and master control systems, as well as UHD and 2110 IP solutions; including troubleshooting, training, analyzing, and configuring systems of the above-mentioned equipment.
- On-site system commissioning and training per customer request.
- Make emergency customer visits as needed.
- Create, build, and configure custom systems for all types of Utah equipment as requested.
- Become proficient on all current Utah Scientific hardware and software.
- Have a basic understanding of interfacing all Utah equipment including legacy gear.
- Strong interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Interface with manufacturing, engineering, and sales to resolve customer issues.
- Provide feedback for product improvement and new product development.
- Work with other departments to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to manage various situations of varying levels of priority.

TRAVEL: Travel expectations for this job are 50% (once training is complete). Trip reports are required after each trip. Travel on Monday and home by the weekend, Utah Scientific values work life balance.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Responsible for coordination of travel (i.e. flight, hotel, transportation, meals, etc.) Maintain travel expenditures within approved budget. All travel expenses are reimbursed following the trip. Expense and activity reports must be completed in timely manner. Achieve an acceptable level of customer satisfaction.
SALARY: $50,000-$70,000 (Negotiable, based on skill level)
