“Our MC 500 switcher was still being used on the air but… now we are using the 400 Series Router. The MC 500 was installed in July of 1986 and [was] finally turned off this past August. Actually, for 36 years of being used everyday and night, we’ve had very little trouble with it. We had to replace the under the switcher ribbon cable once and worn out switches every once in a while. Our AVS-1B Routing switcher is still being used for some stuff. It got installed in January of 1982… Very reliable equipment.”
