XFD OC-4B-SDI

The XFD OC-4B-SDI is an optical-based distribution card that can perform many functions on a single card. This card gives the user many different options, automatically accessed simply by plugging in an SFP and flicking a DIP switch.

 

3G-SDI has been chosen as the XFD OC-4B-SDI’s standard format for its backwards compatibility with all SDI formats. Format flexible, this card can interface with Analog Video encoding to fiber, Analog Video decoding from Fiber, Ethernet over fiber, HDMI output for monitoring on PC monitors, plus MADI or DVB-ASI. Easily expand to add RS422 and GPIO into the standard OC-4B-SDI for distribution over fiber.

 

SFP-based designs give the product user interchangeable modules. These can be swapped on the fly to give combinations of RX/RX, RX/TX, TX/TX, or single channel functionality. Users can further upgrade to CWDM technology to give greater fiber density. Once the user changes to a different SFP, the card will auto-configure the Flex I/O to its predetermined configuration.
